I spent yesterday relaxing at the nearby onsen, editing and resting. Today I was back on the road. Some more up and down coastal routes, but nothing I can't handle. At one point I noticed another bikepacker on the side of the road, an American woman named Maria. I stopped and chatted and it turns out we were going to the same town today! We exchanged info to meet up later with the others she was travelling with. When I got to the town, I went to a small granny cafe where the old women chatted to me. It seemed like the place they all go for coffee and a gossip. I met back up with Maria at the roadside station where I met her roommates and travel buddies Ben, Sam and Nick. They all live in Seattle and are on their summer break from college. We all went to a nearby campsite where I set up my tent and they set up their hammocks.
