The weather continues to be great. Sunny skies, in the low 70's mild winds from the South West. A perfect day for Willow Springs. I got out around 10:45-ish. The legs felt responsive. i made it to the end of OTR in good time. The trip out to WS was more or less, what I expected. Into a headwind, not much more than 15 MPH at any given time. The miles went quick. The wind wasn't too bad out there. So, it wasn't too discouraging. After reaching WS, I turned around and headed back. As I anticipated, the tailwind made for a quick return. I was doing 20MPH+ most of the way back. I had my music going the whole time. I was trying to estimate where I would be when the song ended. The last climb felt good. I was on top of the pedals, and the tail-wind made it feel like I had a third leg. I took a few moments rest, when I reached the summit. Then the downhill, that I was anticipating. I put it in my biggest gear and pushed it a bit. I reached over 42 MPH. Fun stuff! From there it was the trip through OTR and back. I had to stop once to swap out GoPro batteries. Concentration was good, I had a few things to think about, but the morale was good from the start. Balance and form was good. Still not sure if I need to adjust the saddle position. Ailments, next to none. My left knee has completely healed. Gear worked perfect. I did have to start the GoPro a second time when I swapped out batteries. For some reason, it had an SD Card error. Restarting it, fixed that problem. Other notes, I don't think I saw any cyclists today. There was a glider flying, as I was nearing WS.
