Wednesday 18th March 2015.
My ride today. Starting out east from Uxbridge we have a good crowd, seemingly about ten. By the time we reach Whitehall Rd we are down to four: John Hare, John MacMillan, Margaret Chetty and myself. We pause for a while but no-one turns up, so we continue, through Iver village and Richings Park to Datchet Water Sailing Club.
We see no humans, only a lot of sheep grazing on the banks of the reservoir and littering the approach road.(Both figuratively and literally! The cafe is in darkness although it is unlocked. By this time Dave Peck and Liliane have arrived. John H suggests we refresh ourselves at Fat Boys Cafe in Colnbrook. The last time I went there it was called MCK's, but it's been tarted up a bit. Prices are reasonable.
Continuing south through Wraysbury, we meet Dave Brown coming the other way. He was part of the original group we left at Uxbridge, but can provide no clue as to where the others went. So we are back to four again (John H, Dave P and Liliane, having left us). On to the Thames path at Staines we continue our journey to Chertsey. My original intention was to lunch at The Crown, but Margaret remarks that it's gone all posh. So we continue on to The Hungry Horse pub (Twynersh).
We enjoy a two course pensioners lunch at very reasonable prices. We elect to eat outside in the sunshine.
Our return leg takes us past Virginia Water and Egham. We join the A308 for a couple of miles, past Runnymede. Margaret leaves us at Old Windsor, the remaining three of us have refreshments at The Windsor Garden Shop.
John Mac leaves us at Datchet. Dave Brown and I return home via Colnbrook and Iver village.
A lovely spring day.
Regards Bernie G.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
