The weather has let up. Some cloudy skies. Winds from the South East. Good day for WS. I over-estimated the gear by a bit. It was just cold enough for long gloves and a jacket. The legs were good from the start. I did good time up OTR. Partial, due to a tailwind. The outbound to WS wasn't too bad. There was a headwind, but it wasn't significant. As I was making my way out to WS, the GPS stopped. It must have stopped for about a minute or so, before I noticed. I turned it back on and commenced recording the data. I made to WS and headed back. The music kept me company. I was able to guess how many songs it would take to reach certain landmarks. The return was fun, with the tailwind. I put in some good digs over the last kickers. I pulled over to check the GoPro battery, when I reached the summit. It had about 10% battery life. So, I kept it running till I reached the end of Highline. The descent was fun. But the tailwind was mild. So, I topped out at about 35-ish MPH. I pulled over just before OTR to swap batteries. From there it was down OTR and up Mariposa. Then, back to home. Concentration was good. Maybe some hints of gremlins on Highline. Somewhat expected at this time of the day. I wish I could have gotten out about 1 hour earlier. Balance and form was good. Ailments, were minimal. Gear worked good. But, the GPS stopped by itself. So, not sure what happened there. Other notes, I saw one or two cyclists today.
