Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. It was supposed to rain today. It didn't. I checked outside and the wind was going north, but it was severe. So, I decided to ride in-doors. I wanted to explore a bit, so I did the Mountain Loop in reverse. I think it took about 10 minutes to get to the climb. It starts off pretty steep, and stays that way for a mile or so. The scenery wasn't much to look at. I was keeping the tempo at around 3 W/kg. The legs felt good, not great. I think I held back a bit, as I wasn't sure how this route would pan out. I think there were at least two dips before the summit. Overall, the same altitude gain as the normal loop. I think I made it to the summit a minute or two faster. (The timer didn't stop at the summit, so no ranking on this route). I headed up the bonus climb and headed back. I was constantly keeping an eye on time and distance. Doing the calculations. I knew it was going to take over an hour to get back to the start/finish. It ended up taking about 1:15-ish hours. While making my way around the island, I was pushing more than usual. The legs were warmed up, so I was able to push a bit more than usual. I put in a good dig through the sprint zone. I think I got around 70th. After reaching the start/finish, I commenced the cool-down immediately. I let the HR drop to 112 and then stopped. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none. Gear worked great. Other notes, there were over 4000 riders at the start and about 2500-3000 at the finish.
