I was a bit reluctant to get out today. I decided to go to WS n back. The weather is a bit on the cold side. I decided to wear the full winter kit, with knee warmers. The legs felt average to start. I knew it was going to be like this for most of the ride, so I kept that in mind. I reached the end of OTR in average time. The wind was from the North West. So, I had a tailwind on the way back. It was mild wind conditions. I reached the turn-around, and headed back. No stopping. The way back was into the wind, so I had to be patient and get used to the slow tempo. It took about 5 to 10 minutes to settle in. The miles went quick. Before I knew it, I made it to Tucker. Only one major climb left. I kept the tempo steady. In the 28 tooth, over the top. From there I headed down then up the brief climb to Banducci. I had to pull over to swap camera batteries on the GoPro. I got back on the road and headed down OTR, mostly fun and games. Mariposa was the usual push over the hill. And then home from there. Concentration was good. I had some things to think about, that I wanted to do later in the day. Definitely helped me stay focused. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none. Appetite was comfortable. I had about 75% of my Gatorade. No plain water. Other notes, I saw just one cyclist. He was in shorts and short sleeves. Must have been cold.
