It's getting warmer. I had lab in the morning. I got back around 8:30-ish AM. When I got back, I had breakfast and made a quick decision to go for a bike ride, to Keene. I got out around 9:40. I had a headwind on the way out, so I was staying cool. I reached the summit in good time. When I reached the base, I checked the time. Still doing good. About a mile into the ascent, it started to get hot. It started to get real hot, when I was at the base of the Loop. I had to shift to a lower gear and be a bit patient. It was putting me into a certain limit. Being that the heat always gets the better of me. My HR was above 150 bpm, for most of the last half of the ascent. Towards the end, I was starting to get slight chills. The sign of overheating. Fortunately, by that time, I was at the summit. I cruised the rest of the way home. Concentration was good, all things considered. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some minor right knee pains. Gear worked great. Nutrition was good. I had about half my sport drink and some water. I was out of the saddle for quite a bit, so it was difficult to hydrate. Other notes, I saw one other cyclist. There was a training passing through the Loop as I was descending. I pulled over to let my GoPro to capture it on the video.
