What a great day for a ride. Rain was predicted and there was hardly a cloud in the sky! It was warm, but the wind (from the north-west) was nice and cool. I went riding with Peggy, so I had to improvise for stop time. I felt good from the start. Saddle soreness has subsided substantially. I put a patch on it with Vaseline and that seemed to keep it in check. I ended up waiting on areas of reprieve. To get there, I put in some good efforts to make up for the stopage time. Most of the ride was done in moderate tempo higher on the uphill sections. Concentration was good. I was in the zone for the most part. Ailments consisted of hand soreness and numbness. Shaking them frequently fixed the problem. Balance and form was about average. It could have been better. I'm not sure if lowering the saddle made a difference. But, I'll keep it there for the next few rides. Gear is working well. The Gopro worked flawless. Other notes, we past 3 or more cyclists, stopped at SS Chevron to refill drinks and bio. Race fiber optic had some workers out in SS. The first time I've seen a marked vehicle with their logo.
