The wind has picked up. From the South East. I was going to head out to CV after the Alpine Forest. But the wind conditions were not in favor. So, I just did the Alpine Forest n Back route. The legs felt pretty good to start. I wore the standard winter kit, minus the gloves and jacket. I made it to the end of OTR in average time. I was able to climb the Banducci wall without red-lining it too much. The Arosa climb went fast. I had lots to think about and the morale was high. Going through the backside was fun, reaching over 40 MPH on the quick descents. I head up to the Banducci summit, and took a few moments rest. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. I was going into a headwind, so it felt like I was crawling. After making it down the Banducci wall, I made my way to OTR. From there it was fun and games. Concentration was good. Having things to think about, the music to listen to and the morale felt good. Balance and form was good. I felt on top of the pedals most of the time. The cleat position feels good. Gear worked great. Ailments, next to none. Nutrition was spot on. About half a bottle of Gatorade. No water. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
