The wind is from the South East. I had my eyes set on going to SS. So, that's what I did. At least the wind was moderate. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. There was some traffic mitigation, so I was given incentive. Banducci went as usual. I made it to the summit and took a few moments rest. Shortly after I headed downhill. I reached speeds in excess of 44 MPH. A real treat, and it felt safe. The trek to SS was quick. Given that I had a tailwind the whole way there. I was doing 25 MPH+ most of the way. I made it to the backside of SS and headed downhill. I reached the tunnel in under 56 minutes. At that point, I was guessing how many minutes I would lose to Boss Hogs. I calculated 5 or 6 minutes. I cruised through town and headed back on the farm-lands. was doing 15 MPH most of the time. Going into the wind or a cross wind. I made it to Boss Hogs in 1:02-ish. So, I lost about 7 minutes. A bit more than I anticipated. The last climb was mostly moderate tempo. No digs over the summit. I think I forgot to check the battery charge at that point. I had 70% at the summit of Banducci. From there, I headed to Route 202. There was some traffic mitigation. After reaching OTR, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was very good. I had stuff to think about. I was playing the "where will I be when this song is over" game. Definitely helped. Ailments, some knee soreness. I'll have to inspect the cleats. Gear worked perfect. The mystery clicks are still there. I still need to service the headset. Balance and form felt good. Nutrition was good. I consumed most of my Gatorade. No water. Other notes, I saw one cyclist today and about 5 planes flying in formation as I was near Country Club Drive.
