It's on the cool side. About 48-ish degrees. Winds from the North West. Great day for Keene. I wasn't sure what to wear. So, I put two base layers and the usual winter kit. I made it to the summit in good time. The wind was mild. I cruised the downhill. Putting in two good digs. After reaching the base, I headed back. The body was responding well to the cool, dense air. The miles went quick. There was a passing train that double looped on itself, going through the Tehachapi Loop. Very neat to see in person. I kept the tempo no less than moderate. Out of the saddle for a good chunk of the ascent. Concentration was good. The morale was high. I had breakfast and immediately got ready for the ride. I was really looking forward to it. Suffice it to say, I got out what I put in. Balance and form was good. Ailments, left had numbness. Gear worked flawless. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I drank about half my Gatorade and some water. Other notes, I saw two cyclists on their way back as I was nearing the base of the descent.
