It's windy today. I decided that I would go ether to WS or SS. I ended up going to the Banducci summit, then to WS and back. The wind was from the South East, so it wasn't a good day for SS. I bumped my left shin on the stairs just before the ride. It was a bit sore, but got better as the ride went on. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. I was aided by the wind going up Banducci. The ascent went fast. I took a few moments rest at the summit and let traffic by before I headed down. The descent wasn't as dangerous as I thought it was going to be. From there, I headed out to WS on Highline. The wind was right in my face and a pretty strong one at that. I was struggling to hold 10 MPH in some places. After reaching WS, I checked the GoPro battery. It had enough charge to last till the summit of Highline. As expected, the return trip was about twice as fast. When I reached the summit, I pulled over to swap out the GoPro battery and went home from there. Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about and the morale was good. Balance and form was good. I rotated the saddle just a bit, I think it helped. Ailments, just a bit of soreness in the left shin as per the slight bruise just before the start of the ride. Hands were sore here and there, but they didn't go numb. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. I'm, glad I had second breakfast. I drank all of my Gatorade. No water. Other notes, no other cyclists today. I think I saw two or three Cmax's today. The windmills on Highline were churning like crazy. I'd like to know what sort of wattage they put out on a windy day like today!
