Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. I have a lot to do today. I had to squeeze in a ride between appointments. This route was just right. The legs felt a bit sluggish to start. I played it patient and let my body warm up in about 10 to 15 minutes. After I made it across the bridge, I was feeling better. I was able to hold 3W/kg most of the time. I was out of the saddle to keep the power down. I was able to put more power into the pedals as I was getting further and further up the climb. About one mile from the summit, I was on par for a sub 30 minute ascent. I was having to put in 4W/kg for that last mile. I put in a 29:55 minutes time. Not bad for not putting in a dig from the start. I didn't pay attention to my placing at the summit. Will have to check the video footage. I finished it off with the bonus climb. From there, it was downhill to town and the usual rolling terrain back to the start finish. Concentration was good. I cranked up the music to keep me company. Balance and form wasn't the best. I think the saddle is a bit to the right. Will have to adjust it. Gear worked good, but I did throw the chain off the little ring. I had to dismount and reset the chain. Ailments were minimal. I was having some hand soreness that is typical on a climb of this duration. I was practicing shaking the hands while out of the saddle. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had most of my Gatorade. No water. Other notes, there were about 7000 riders when I hopped on. About 5000 when I was done.
