Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

The weather is real cold and windy. But it's not raining. I decided to head up to the Banducci Summit. I'm going to do the Caliente ride on the weekend. So, this ride was just the right distance and difficulty. I wore my usual winter kit. I forgot to wear my toe covers. So, my feet were getting very cold. There was a headwind on the way out. By the time I reached the summit, it was 43 minutes into the ride. So, about 5 minutes slower than my usual time. From there, it was mostly easy riding, making it down the mountain and through OTR. Concentration was good. All things considered, with the cold temperatures. Balance and form was good. Ailments, just cold feet. Nutrition was good. I had less than half my Gatorade. No water. Gear worked perfect. Other notes, I was going through my mind, what I needed to bring on the Caliente ride. I'll print out my carry-on list, as I normally do. No other cyclists today. I saw one Cmax as I was cresting the top of the Banducci Wall.
