Great day for a ride. In the low 70's. Mild winds from the North West. I decided to head out to WS. The wind was not going the favorable way, but wasn't too significant. The legs felt good from the start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The way out to WS was enjoyable. I kept the tempo moderate. When I reached the turn-around, I headed back, no stopping. The GoPro had plenty of charge remaining, based on the elapsed time. I made my way back. The first half mile was the worst. Eventually, I settled into a good tempo. I told myself that if the legs are good then to add the Banducci summit. I made my way up the mile climb on Highline. I was felling good, so I headed up Banducci. There was some traffic mitigation on the way up. After reaching the summit, I took a few moments rest. I swapped the GoPro battery out, let traffic by and then headed down the mountain. Descending off the wall was fun. In the tuck reaching 41 MPH. Lots of fun! From there it was mostly fun and games through OTR and back home. Concentration was good. The morale was good and I had a few things to think about. Gear worked perfect. Ailments, some left hand numbness while out of the saddle. Balance and form was pretty good. Nutrition was good. I drank the entire Gatorade bottle and was drinking water in the last 15 minutes of the ride. I didn't have much hunger signs, but was definitely nearing. Other notes, I saw at least 3 cyclists out there.
