Thirteen loiterers set out on the medium ride to Englefield Green.
On the ride were Angela, Liliane, Gerry, Gill, Sally, Lisa, Jean, Tony H, Lawrie, Geoff, Roy, Michael T, led by me. We left Uxbridge riding through Iver and Langley on through Upton Court Park and Eton College Fields to elevenses at the Garden Cafe in Windsor.
Revitalised we continued through Windsor to enter Windsor Great Park which we traversed to Bishops Gate. We then took to the roads lead inn to Englefield Green and lunch at The Beehive PH a Fullers pub serving Gales HSB, Buttcombe Bitter, and of course London Pride. Tables were laid for us and we enjoyed a pleasant lunchtime sojourn.
We left the pub just as sky darkened and the rain came as we headed down through Egham, across Runnymede meadow to join the Thames path upriver of Bell Weir. We stayed with the river to Staines bridge which we crossed and mad our way to the Wraysbury Road. We continued to tea at Thorney Park Golf Club via Wraysbury and Colnbrook after which we returned towards Uxbridge with the group dispersing along the way.
