Another loitering Sunday and 19 loiterers gathered at Uxbridge on an overcast but dry morning.
Alec, Angela, Colin F, Colin S, Geoff, Gerry, Jackie, Jim H, and John J followed me out of Uxbridge towards Chalfont St Peter via Old Slade Lane. On the way at Denham Jim’s tyre developed a carbuncle so he returned home.
We stopped for elevenses at Crumbs Coffee Shop before heading up Gold Hill as we made our way to Gerrards Cross. Navigating around the aforementioned town past the common and on down Hedgerley lane to lunch at the White Horse where we found Jim who had ridden home, changed steeds, and got to the bar before us.
After lunch we rode towards the One Pin crossroads with some taking a leisurely stroll up Hedgerley Hill. On Templewood Lane the group got separated, Colin F’s rear tyre had rolled off the rim. We regrouped at Stoke Common and proceeded to tea at Black Park.
After tea we returned to Uxbridge via Iver Heath and Chandlers Hill after which the group dispersed.
