Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I planned on a big ride today, and that's what I did! I got up early, ate breakfast and got out without napping. The legs felt pretty good to start. The weather was nice. It was a bit on the cold side for the first 20 minutes. I wore a thicker base layer and the usual arm coolers. I made my way up OTR, I don't recall the time to the summit, but it felt to be a good average time. I checked the GoPro, it was at 100% charge. I headed out to WS via Highline. The wind was mild but predominantly to the West. After reaching WS, I headed back, no stopping. It was boring, but at least I had a mild tailwind to make things go a bit faster. The Banducci Wall went well. I was never in the red zone, but I was in my smallest gears on the steepest sections. Alpine Forest went faster than I anticipated. I think I was in the zone because time went faster than previous rides. I made my way around the backside then to the Banducci Summit. I took a few moments rest. I fed half my Cliff Bar. Hydrated. I checked the GoPro, it was holding steady. I made my way down the mountain. Having fun with the tuck. Then the trip to SS. The wind continued to be mild. The climb going to the backside of SS went quick. I guess I had stuff to think about at the moment. I made my way down into SS. I stopped at the local park to take a nature break. I got back on the road shortly after. The trek through the farmlands was mostly moderate tempo. The legs started to feel fatigue at this point. When I reached the last climb, I pulled over to feed the other half of my Cliff Bar. I refilled my Gatorade. I hydrated a bit before continuing. There was a group of 3 guys that bridged. We spoke briefly. They appeared to be friendly and on a similar ride as mine. The climb itself went well. I settled into a sustainable tempo. I gave up about a minute or two to the trio. I almost bridged the gap as I approached the last kicker. I eventually caught up to them when I reached Route 202. They were taking a break and I headed down to OTR. From their it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good. The morale was good. I was able to stay concentrated. Some brain farts here and there. I held it together, though. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some hand numbness as I was out of the saddle for extended periods, such as when I was climbing the Alpine Forest. Gear worked great. I think the new shorts are a bit small. They are mediums, but feel to be one size smaller. I'm going to contact Pearlizumi and ask them what my options are. Other notes, I think I saw about 10 riders today.
