The sore on my left knee is feeling much better. I hardly felt it today. I decided to do an "easy" ride today. WS + Banducci summit was the plan. The weather has cooled a bit. There's scattered clouds today. Winds from the North East. I got out early, no napping today. I made it to the end of OTR in average time. I pulled over to check the GoPro battery. It had less than 80% charge if I remember correctly. It was connected to the power bank. I think the battery wasn't fully charged when I left. I made my way out to WS. Doing mostly moderate tempo. I picked up the pace here and there. After reaching the turn-around, I checked the GoPro once again. It was around 70%-ish charged. So, the battery was depleting very slow. A good sign. The way back was mostly patience as the head wind had picked up. I made my way to Banducci. I put in a good effort. I took a few moments rest as I was making my way through the false flat. Then the remainder of the climb was no less than moderate tempo. Mostly out of the saddle and some traffic mitigation. After reaching the summit, I checked the GoPro battery and it was steady at around 67%-ish remaining. That meant that it went through less than half the battery in about 1.5 hours. So, I could double the duration and still have enough power to last. From there, I headed downhill. The Banducci wall descent was fun. Doing my tuck and approaching 42 MPH. After that, it was mostly fun and games. I put in a good effort on the last mile of OTR. Concentration was good. I was a bit on the impatient side. So, I was listening to my music to keep me distracted. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. I had some upper body pains that I can't explain. It happened as I was making my way down Highline towards Tucker. It felt like gas pains, but higher up the body. I didn't panic. I practiced dep breathing. In about 2 minutes, the pain went away and never returned. Some hand soreness. Gear worked great. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through half my Gatorade and some water. Other notes, I saw two cyclists and a runner.
