The weather today was ideal for today's ride. Winds from the South East. I wore the standard kit, one light base layer. I felt good going out the door, I had a tailwind going down the block and up OTR. I made it to Route 202 in average time. Given that I had a headwind on the way out, I kept the pace moderate to the turn around point. After I reached the turn around point I commenced with moderate tempo and gave a few efforts of good tempo. I was well within my limits for the entire duration of the ride. I pushed it over the top. but still within my limits, no serious digs. After making it back to OTR, it was mostly fun and games. Today's traffic was more than usual. Just that extra late hour put me into the heavy traffic time. Note to self on that one. Get out before 1pm... Concentration today was sketchy at best. I was really having to coach myself through many legs of the ride. Gremlins, yes... Impossible no... Room for improvement, a resounding yes... It was just one of those days where the stars were not aligned in my direction. At least that's the way it felt. Balance and form felt good. Probably the greater of things. Ailments, still consists of saddle soreness, getting better though. Some numbness in the right hand. I'm debating whether to give another 2 days off, and put the time into strength training. I have a phone appointment on Saturday, say between 2pm and 4pm. I'd likle to get a ride in before then, say Keene at around 12pm. Gear is working well. Still some mystery creaks. I'm going to adjust the drive train to see if that helps. Rear derailleur and crankset. I installed a new rear tire. Other notes, I saw about 3 other cyclists today.
