The weather is great! Nice and cool. In the low 60's, clear skies. I had business to take care of this week, so I was overdue for a ride. I decided outdoors, hands down. Another test for the knees. This route was ideal. The cleat position remains the same. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. I stopped once to adjust the saddle. I made my way out on Highline. There was a slight headwind. After making it to the summit, my knees weren't complaining too much, so I headed to the Walmart Bike Path. I was able to make it to the end and turn around. As the ride progressed, the knees were becoming ever so slightly sore. I was careful on the Highline climb. I was pulling more than pushing while out of the saddle. It definitely gave some respite for the knees. Without mishap, I made it to OTR. I was able to relax on the climb. When the gradient went up, I pulled while out of the saddle. The knee was slightly sore, so I was careful not to agitate it any further. Concentration was good. I had some moments of sketchy focus, but I gathered myself when I noticed it happening. I was a bit reluctant to get out of bed from my morning nap. But, I'm glad I did. Balance and form was good. The cleat position seems to be working thus far. Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through 3/4 of my Gatorade, no water. Other notes, I saw 4 cyclists today.
