Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

The weather is warming up. It was in the mid 70's. Mild winds from the north west. I wore the standard kit, 1 light base layer. I felt pretty good from the start. Being that the wind was mild, I made my way to the top of the descent in good time. I soft pedaled most of the way down. I didn't pay attention to the time I posted after reaching the base, but likely better than average. I had a tailwind on the way back. I was starting to get hot. I haven't ridden in this weather for a few months. My body needs to get adjusted. Nevertheless, I was able to hold a good tempo for the duration of the climb. My legs were responding well, but I could feel the sensation of lacking in dense air. Like being in double the altitude. After I reached the loop monument, I was able to stretch on the short descent. I did the same thing on the second short descent. It kept my muscles where I needed them to be. No heroics today, but I did have occasions where I was near my limit. Concentration was slightly above average. I got out too late today. Just bad luck with the gremlins out there. Not worse case scenario, but pretty darned bad. I made it back in one piece, that's what matters most. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness, lower back soreness and some left hip soreness nearing the summit. Balance and form was probably the greater of things. Gear is working well. No issues. I repacked my saddle bag since the previous rides' flat tire. Other notes, I saw one other cyclist as I was ascending.
