So today’s views are from the support vehicle. It isn’t raining! Dave was ready to pull into a McDonald’s in a little town called Bulan and I saw this little church so I popped in there for their 10 o’clock Sunday school time. The pastor & his wife have been married 48 years, and she was raised in Albany Oregon, attended Fairview Mennonite, can you believe that? Sweet little congregation of 50, I loved it. The McDonald’s was playing contemporary Christian music… only in the South! I realized I have come to love the pace of the bike. In a car we are past something picture worthy before I even realize it. Dave turned around (with the trailer!) for me to get the photos of the Appalachian musical instruments storefront and old fire engine. Mixed feelings today about being off my bike; I will appreciate it even more. I think I have pinned down what’s wrong with it, and fear it will require ordering a part. My coach, Julie, taught me two years ago to enjoy the journey, accept the unexpected, be pleased with what I’ve accomplished because the journey actually began quite a ways back.
