Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

I was undecided where to go today. I decided to meditate in the morning till afternoon. A 30 something minute workout was in my mind. So, I chose the Watopia Ocean Lava Cliffside Loop. It's about 11 miles with 500 something feet of climbing. I estimated I could do it within 35 minutes or so. I kept the fan on low so that my body would warm up as fast as possible. It took about 15 minutes for the legs to get warmed up. Most of the climbing was one segment. It had a KOM start point. It gave me inspiration until I realized that the route I was taking wasn't at the top of the KOM finish. So, I just kept the tempo high going for a good one lap time. After the climb, I was sufficiently warmed up and able to push moderate to high tempo for the remainder of the route. When I reached the start finish, it didn't show the overall placings. A bit of a disappointment. Concentration was good, minimal lapses and the quick ride staved off impatience. Balance and form was good. Ailments were next to none. Knees felt good. Nutrition was good. I had less than half my Gatorade, no water. Gear worked perfect. Other notes, there were about 2700 riders when I hopped on.
