James drove me 73 miles to Owensboro where I had some returns to make at the UPS store, after a relaxing morning while he took Isaiah to school then had an appointment. I enjoyed his cat. James showed me his new store, and it was funny, the time zone changes right in the middle of his store… EST on one end and Central on the other! We unloaded my bike, I cleaned and lubed the chain, and rode hard for 4 1/4 hours. Am staying at this beautiful chairs in Clay, my last night in KY. Tomorrow I ride of a double day, over 110 miles, again in the mid to high 80s. So I’m getting up at 3:45 and leaving at 4:30. Already in bed! It was such a beautiful day, no bike trouble, I’m carrying extra weight for my independent days and the bike handles quite differently. But I have enjoyed this time very very much. The hospitality here is extraordinary, and so is the fact that they let their dogs run after you and even bite cyclists. Those two don’t compute together in my mind! Cliff & Kathy rode 101 miles yesterday while Dee was getting his bike fixed! I think about so many things while riding, but by night my brain is mush. My whole self is mush, ha ha! Showers never felt so good! 😁 OH! I weighed myself this morning. Really?! I would like to think it’s gained muscle, but may have some to do with the ice cream. OK, ice creamS. 🤗🍦 I sang myself hoarse today. It was just such a great day! To explain a couple photos: the oatmeal with fruit is my breakfast every day, that new shirt was a very special gift from Terry Bicycles, it arrived at James'es on Tuesday! And the name on that motor coach caught my eye! I love you! Thank you for making this journey together.♥️
