A hot muggy day that ended with thundering showers then nice again! I loved the feeling of life that the freedoms and challenges of being on my own the past five days gave me, but I didn’t realize the pressure I was also carrying until it was off today and I felt the security and support of the group to rely on once again. I felt relief, and stronger because of yesterday‘s tire change and the fact that I really wanted to do it. Journeys are always about so much more than a trip! I ran over a little turtle in this morning's shade. I don’t think I hurt him, but couldn’t believe it didn’t flip my bike right out from under me. I went on to see six more turtles crossing the road~ how do they EVER make it across in that traffic? I rescued a couple (saw the “crazy lady” grins of passing drivers). The first seemed especially unhappy at me helping him across. It made me wonder how many times God has saved my bacon, and what I saw were my immediate circumstances and felt frustrated, afraid, and mad at Him. I finally gave up rescuing the little guys. I’m glad He doesn’t look at this whole world and say, “There are just too many.“ Forever grateful He didn’t look at me and think I was beyond repair. ♥️terri
