Today brought back such memories. This was the spot where we made the decision last year to pull out of our trip after three or four days of temps well over 100° riding through Hells Canyon and the rest of our trip forecast to be 105° each day.
It was the first time Dee mentioned riding the TransAmerica this year. I said “Count me in!” Cliff said he & Kathy would go, and Tom was going to think about it.
At the time, I was amazed that I had just ridden from home to Idaho, and now I’m thinking, “That’s all the ways I have left to go.“ And I can’t believe we are so close to the end! It has been so full and intense a trip that it feels like a blur with scenes and memories popping up from here and there.
What an amazing undertaking, I will definitely carry this with me the rest of my life, and am grateful for such a good group effort making it possible. I wouldn’t have had the courage or experience to do this all by myself, but I have grown in courage and strength because of it.
This was a gorgeous day, and I am soaking up every last hour of this trip and trying to remember everything!
Today for the third time, second on this trip, I got run off the road by a semi.
It mostly makes me mad, but shook me up a bit extra today because I was going 20 mph, and he just kept moving over closer and closer to me. I am confident his second trailer of lumber would’ve hit me if I hadn’t just gone off into the dirt. But it was full of chuckhole. I was trying to slow down in unstable dirt while avoiding the holes, then saw a crater sized (4’ dia. and deep) pothole coming up with a drop off straight after that so I had to get back on the road before that hole. And it happened so fast. I just made it and he went off on his merry way. I just stared at him with my arm out like, “What the heck?!“ I’m sure the drivers behind him saw the whole thing, it was not good. Except that I came out unscathed. Thank you to my zoom prayer group this morning asking God to post guardian angels around each of us riders. That was the first thing I thought of. And actually I know several friends & family praying so faithfully for our protection and much else, thank you.
I had a good early Chinese dinner and am heading back to camp as the Hot Springs just opened at 4.
I’ll try to take a picture or two of that, then send this on its merry way to you!😊
Sending with much love and special thanks, Terri♥️
Oh! See pictures for our special little friend that joined us for a while!💕
Also, I was pretty excited about my picture of the crane and cat, until I realized the crane never moved in any of my pictures. 🙄🤭

Wow, what an amazing experience, not one I would like to experience - sorry to hear you were run off the road but praise God he had his Angles watch over and protecting you. Thank you Lord Jesus for answering our prayers. Enjoy your evening and your time in the hot tub.
