I crossed over into Willamette National Forest and was just happy! A while later I got hit with the smell of the woods just in a moment, and it riveted me to every camping trip I have loved my entire life. “Oh Toto, there’s NO place like home!” We had the sweetest time with my parents, then gathered for final photos on our way out the door. Sorry Dee isn't in them. Dad & Nancy got up at 4 AM to make us a wonderful breakfast we could eat there &/or take with us, and Coffeeeeee! Paul helped hook up the trailer and we were actually out the door at 5:15. It was beautiful watching the sun rise on snowy Sisters. So I made it to Mill City and was driven by a friend to Jefferson to meet up with Larry and Helen Mast for lunch, those two hours went so fast! It just now occurred to me that I didn’t take a single picture of them, I can’t believe it. They gifted me with a set of earplugs and reminded me of one breakfast on the Anastasis when I had my two little wax earplugs in one hand and my vitamins in the other. I took my vitamins and then realized they were still in my hand.🤭 After that special visit, I was driven to Dee's to load my gear then back to Mill City to pick up where I left off riding, rode to Jefferson to camp out at Dee & Patty’s, arriving 7pm … almost 14 hours from start. I am happy tired! I may sleep in a little tomorrow, if my body lets me. I figure on riding through Philomath and reaching Newport between 1 and 2. I can’t believe tomorrow it’s done! Didn’t I leave just two weeks ago? Or was that five months ago? An unspeakable gift. ♥️Love, terri
