Wasn't feeling up to riding in the heat and humidity on pavement (I know! Let's go in the woods, where there's shade!) and that proved to be an excellent choice. Surprising little damp or mud or puddles on 10MC even though it rained hard yesterday in a coupla thundershowers. Found the new section of trail starting about halfway down the fast descent starting at 5, so went that way. There was some confusion at first with a trail that sorta looked right, had bike tracks, but turned out to be how the county got the trail makin' machines into the area. Backtracked, found the REAL trail and it turned out to be a very nice loop. Explored the exit onto W. Old Baltimore and found some more trail on the other side. Incomplete, but there was an unofficial trail that led into a soybean field through some brambles. Decided against more brambles and rode around the edge of the field til there was an easy out to the road. Many interesting potential loops/routes in our future here ...
