Burbs sure aren't flat like real urban cities, nope, nope. But when that's where you live and rain MAY be a-comin' then that's where you ride -- not gonna spend time driving somewhere more rural or more urban. Turns out, no rain. But there was riding. More experimenting with staying away from less-preferred route segments and came away pretty happy. Got caught by a train blocking all the crossings at Mile 28 so when it completely stopped, went into parking garage that has a pedestrian bridge over the tracks. The elevation profile at 28 reflects taking the elevator 2 or 3 floors too high and then riding down thru the garage to the bridge ... Discovered the access from the little park in Garret Park to the backside of the old White Flint mall and other retail in the area has been completely blocked with a very tall sturdy fence so had to detour onto Rockville Pike sidewalk but so be it. Felt muuuuuch better than Saturday. Contact points held up. Legs felt good. Heart rate normal. Surely cloudy skies and temps in the 70s had nothing to do with that.
