Frederick Fifty (with some help from PA)

Continuing to get tuned up for covered bridge ride in two weeks. Normally at this time there's been a big July ride (RAGBRAI or BonTonRoulet) and the struggle to get in shape was in May-June. Doesn't help that it's also been ridiculously humid and hot (seriously, weather weenies? Temp 88 but Real Feel is 97??)

So let's go do a not-too climby early morning ride in the country in our favorite area to ride. ... well got the early morning part right, mostly, with riding starting before 7:45am but the climby bits, uh, the route started out at 2100 feet and, well, escalated from there.

Coupla planned stops and one unscheduled, two miles from the end, to put out the fire in the right foot. Just could not go one more pedal stroke.

Otherwise body held up surprising well and legs felt good the whole way.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
