The heat bubble or dome or whatever the current weather weenie term continues. Rather than ride on hot pavement with hot exhaust and who knows what else is hot, decided to do the woods thing. Good call, as it turned out, as it was a full two-hour ride, equivalent to the typical 30-mile pavement ride BUT NOT NEARLY AS HOT.... Legs felt good; old, floppy shorts need replaced as they are chafing, ESPECIALLY after being completely soaked (it was ... humid); otherwise contact points all good. Trails excellent; occasional mudhole that was mostly peanut butter (no water). Been awhile since this has been ridden and there was evidence of a LOT of trees formerly blocking the trail... lots and lots of chainsaw work had been completed...
