Bethesda 40

Nits to pick: 38.5 != 40 but it felt like 40 so it counts. Some of this route is technically in one of the many Chevy Chases and coulda been called the Chevythesda but that just seemed like a burb too far.

Huuuumid and warm, like near 90, but cooled as the evening wore on. And wear on it did. Felt realllly slow though the avg speed says otherwise. Multiple stops, including one at 25 and another at almost 35 to put out the fire in the right foot. Is THAT why TdF riders all wear white shoes? Maybe?

Seemed like the legs were plenty strong but the rest of the body just wanted to pull off into the shade and lay in the grass. Gonna take more of these to get ready for the 65 mile covered bridge ride ....
