The weather has let up. Enough for a quick ride to the Alpine Forest. Winds from the North West. I wore the standard winter kit. The legs felt average to start. It got better as the ride progressed. I didn't bother checking the time at the summit of OTR. The Banuducci Wall felt good. The cold dense air had an invigorating effect. The Alpine Forest went quick. There was minimal traffic. I was out of the saddle most of the time. From there, I headed around the backside of the Alpine Forest. The roads weren't hazardous. There was snow, but the road was mostly dry without ice. After making it to the summit of Banducci, I pulled over. I decided not to feed, but rather headback. The wind was favorable, so the return trip went quick. Descending off the Banducci Wall was a bit dangerous with the cross winds buffeting. OTR was mostly fun and games. Mariposa was the usual grind. After making it back to Weston, I shut it down. Concentration was good. I had stuff to think about. The time went quick. No gremlins today. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through most of my Gatorade. I was thinking about lunch on my way back. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. I bumped my right knee on a cabinet. It was hinting on soreness, but never escalated. It feels ok now. It was getting cold and my feet was feeling it. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, I saw one mountain bike rider today.
Other notes, the HR sensor didn't work today. I must have bumped the watch that made it turn off the sensor. The power meter needs a new battery.
