It's miserable and raining outside. Perfect for a Zwift ride. I chose the Innsbruck map. The plan was to do a negative split. It took a while for the body to warm up. I think it was about 10 minutes into the ride before reaching the start of the first climb. My Holo Replay was displayed from the previous time riding this map. My plan for the first lap was to keep it just under 3 W/kg. The miles went reasonably fast. I was a bit more patient this time than the last. The music was helping too. I posted a time of about 31 minutes and change. Reaching the top 50 something out of over 100 riders. I recovered on the downhill and stretched. Then hands were a bit numb, so I had to let the circulation return to them. The second lap was mostly full gas from the start. I was trying to keep it near or above 3 W/kg. I was able to hold that pace for the entire climb. The hands were getting numb while out of the saddle for minutes at a time. I was in the zone. The body was fully warmed up. Sweating at this point in the ride. I reached the summit in just over 28 minutes. Posting the negative split that I wanted. I was at max over the top. Reaching 160 BPM on the HR.
From there, it was cool down. I let the HR down gently. I hopped off after reaching 112 BPM. I was in the Innsbruck town by that time. Concentration was good. I was in the zone most of the time. Balance and form felt good. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through most of my Gatorade and a bit of water. Gear worked flawless. Some squeaking noises from the chain. Will likely replace it in the next month or two. Ailments, the left hand was going numb while out of the saddle minutes at a time. Mitigated by siting down and shaking it off. Other notes, there were about 660 riders on this map when I hopped on.
