It was snowing when I got up. No chance of getting out for a ride. I chose the London Zwift map because I wanted to post a negative split. I got my stuff together and hopped on the trainer. The legs were so so to start. I was patient to let them warm up. It was about 10 minutes before the Box Hill climb. I kept the tempo under 3 W/kg most of the time. In and out of the saddle as needed. I think I posted an 11 minute time over the top. My Halo Replay was going from the previous ride. I was distanced by over a minute at the summit. From there, I recovered and put in a dig through the tunnel riser. The second lap felt better. I was able to put more power down from the get go. I distanced my previous lap by a minute or two. The climb went quick. I spared no time to increase the tempo. I was putting 3+ W/kg most of the time. I think I sat down just a few times to hydrate. Otherwise, mostly out of the saddle. As planned I posted a negative split over the top, by quite a bit. I think I was in the top 20 out of about 170 riders. Give or take. I posted a 30 day PR to top it off! From there, I headed back and took a few moments to recover. My HR was maximum. I put in a good dig through the tunnel riser. About a minute or two from the finish, I noticed I was near a PR for the lap. I was too far out, so I just kept the tempo going. I posted a negative split for the lap. Concentration was good. Perhaps a bit impatient to start, but not by much. Gear worked flawless. The HR sensor worked a bit better because I moved the sensor closer to me. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my Gatorade, no water. Ailments were minimal. Other notes, there were about 1200 riders when I hopped on the map.
