Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was nice and cool. In the low 60's / upper 50's. Wind somewhat turbulent but mostly from the North West. I wore the standard kit, 1 base layer + arm warmers. I removed the arm warmers when I reached the end of OTR. I felt good from the start. It didn't take me much time to get warmed up. I made good time to the end of OTR. Once I made it to Highline, I noticed I had a headwind going out. At times it was a head-cross wind. I kept a good tempo on the way out, but saved most of my matches for later. When I reached WS, I spared no time and headed back. The wind continued to be more of a cross than tail. By the time I reached the end of Highline, it began to change into a headwind again. I wasn't sure what to expect later in the ride. I was able to climb Banducci at high tempo. I was practicing breathing techniques. Synchronizing my breath with my pedal strokes. Once at the summit, I took a breather, let the traffic by and headed down to the valley below. It became apparent that I was going to have a tail-cross wind on the way back. This proved to be the case. I flew through the farm-lands with a high cadence, above 100RPM. Then the last climb, mostly good tempo with a modest push over the top. I was able to recover and keep the momentum going to Route 202. From there it was traffic mitigation to OTR. A welcome descent and a push over Mariposa. The remainder was a cruise back to home. Concentration was good. I had some things to ponder, so this helped. Minimal gremlins today. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness and mild lower back soreness. Mitigated by stretching on the bike. Balance and form felt good. I was holding a high cadence for a good majority of the ride. Gear is working good. I used the Brunton battery pack on the Gopro. For some reason it stopped recording after I summited Banducci. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
