Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was ideal. In the mid to low 70's. Winds from the north west. I wore the standard kit w/1 base layer and arm coolers. I felt good going out the door. My right knee was a bit sore, but got better as the ride progressed. I was sufficiently warmed up by the time I reached the end of OTR. I was able to climb Banducci in good tempo, with a strong push over the top. I recovered on the false flat then continued onto the last part of Banducci. I was concentrating on traffic and the downhill reward on the other side of the mountain. When I reached the summit, I stopped to take a 1 minute breather and let the traffic by. The descent was a welcome reprieve. When I got to the base, I was able to hold a good tempo all the way to SS. When I got to the front entrance, I slowed down to recover before the short climb to the rear entrance. I was doing a bit above average time. I knew it wasn't going to be a particularly fast ride, in terms of overall time. But I kept the momentum going and kept the tempo just within my limits. I pushed through SS, made my way back on Banducci. I was anxious to get to Pelliser ASAP, as usual the traffic never seems to feel safe. After I got there, I cruised it through the farm lands, starting with modest tempo and bumping it up a bit. I was within my limits. I think I made it to Boss Hogs in so-so time. I then had my sights set on the last climb. I started with high tempo, pushing it over the first brief kicker. I tried to hold the tempo, but had to drop it a few times. So, it was partial intervals to the summit. I kept the power down over the summit, nearing maximum. I recovered, made my way down Route 202 (mitigating traffic), down OTR, the Mariposa kicker and home. Concentration was good, few lapses. Minimal passing gremlins. Balance and form felt good. I tend to look down when I'm pushing it, but today I was able to look down the road for extended periods. It helped me find my center. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness, right knee soreness (that got better as the ride went on) and lower back soreness (mitigated by stretching on the bike). Other notes, I saw 2 cyclists today.
