Today's weather was a bit on the warmer side, but very comfortable. Winds were turbulent. It started from the South East and then reversed as I was making my way to Keene. I wore the standard kit, 1 base layer and arm coolers. I felt good going out the door. I made it to the summit in about 8 minutes. Indicative of a tail wind. I cruised the downhill and pushed over the risers. When I got to the base, I spared no time, turned around and commenced the climb. My climbing legs were there from the beginning. I kept the pace somewhat high. I knew I could do whatever as this was a single ride. Before I knew it I had reached the first steep section. I was out of the saddle to keep my momentum going. When I reached the loop monument, I put the power down to the dip. After that, it was steady, good, tempo. I kept this up for the remainder of the climb. I had to slow down a few times to recoup, but was mostly good to high tempo. Overall, my body was responding well. Concentration was very good. I had some things to think about, but I was stable while in between thoughts. Some hints of passing gremlins, but nothing worth noting. Balance and form felt real good in and out of the saddle. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness. My right knee was sore going out the door, but subsided about 10 minutes into the ride. Gear is working well. I have to remember to oil the chain for the next ride. It's squeaking. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
