Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was great. In the mid 70's, clear skies, winds from the North West. I was planning on doing a WS ride, but decided to go to SS instead. I felt good going out the door. I made my way up OTR and was doing good time. Banducci was mostly coaching, thinking to myself about landmarks. This helped a bit. I made it to the summit in good time. When I got there, I took a minute to catch my breath and let traffic by. Then the descent. Mostly fun, practicing my tuck. Once on the base of the mountain, I was able to keep a descent tempo going, doing high cadence. When I was approaching SS, I noticed I was doing good time. I took a breather when I passed the front entrance to SS. Then made my way up the brief climb. Mostly moderate to good tempo. The descent was a treat. I was trying to make it to the tunnel in good time, so I held my tuck for a few moments more than usual. I made it to the tunnel in under one hour. Then the push through SS. The return trip on Banducci was into a tailwind. I was doing mostly moderate tempo, high cadence and mitigating traffic. When I reached Pelliser, I took a moment, easy tempo, to let my legs recover. Then did mostly good tempo to Boss Hogs. I made it there in under 1:20 hrs. The last climb was more of a mental game. I was fatigued, but I had the legs still good. I tried not to think about how much I had left to climb, but just keeping focus on my tempo, cadence and form. I put in a good push over the top. The false flat was recovery, then a good push through. Route 202 had minimal traffic this time, so no need to sprint to OTR. From there, it was a welcome reprieve from traffic and fatigue. Mariposa was the usual push through. Then the trek home. Concentration was good for the most part today. Some gremlins in the end, but nothing to detracting. Balance and form felt good. I was able to hold high cadence in reasonable comfort. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness, some mild lower back soreness, mild hip soreness, and the usual fatigue. Gear is working great. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
