Forecast not looking great for Monday; Sunday is iffy; so off we went to Little Bennett. Trails faaaast... hard packed; no mud; some dust even in places. Temps in the mid-70s; sunny and extremely pleasant. Explored the rebuilt, rerouted Purdum trail starting at 6.3 and rode it to where the old trail still exists (and where the uphill gets harder) and turned around since we knew what it was like beyond that point. The new section is a lot like Sidewinder -- flow-y without steep climbs or descents and lots of fast sections not requiring a huge effort. Speaking of Sidewinder, as usual it was a great way to end the ride -- 2 miles (started 13.8) of smooth, fast, well-built trail (well except for the stump in the middle of the path around 15.7, but you know it's coming so you deal with it) with short punchy climbs you don't have to grind up and lots of zippedy doo dah fast sections. w/Mark, Dan
