Gravelly Point/Mt Ranier/Bladensburg/Anacostia

This used to be a regular route in the Before Times. Now? Rare. Then there was the whole "pavement" thing. This sort of ride soooo very different than MTB rides -- steady output of power, no intervals ... it's gonna take awhile to get back into Road Shape.

But what a glorious afternoon and evening! Temps in the high 70s; unusual breeze from the EAST ... most times it's NW or SW in these parts. Finally was able to take advantage of a sorta-tailwind about Mile 17 and stayed with it til the bridge at 24.

Body started objecting after about 20. Not the contact points but everything else... was tired and grumpy. Stopped at one of the overlooks on the Freddy D bridge and was very glad about that.

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
