After Work DC-Burbs Loop

Met Dan at TWP (see bonus loop north of 13th St as time killer) to ride out to Bladensburg and then back to Gravelly Point.

Lovely, warm afternoon with a pretty good breeze from the east.

Legs felt better than two days ago but contact points were ... sensitive. Just part of the process in getting into better shape.

Found ourselves behind a large pack of shaved-leg types at Mile 27 (they do lap after lap of Haines Point whyyyyy??) and drafted for a bit before the legs just had enough. Good reminder that there are a lot of folks who routinely cruise along at 20+ mph like we do at 15 :-) . They are also half our age, but who's counting? (um, yeah, that's the ticket.)

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
