I had one scheduled activity for today: a tour and cheese tasting at the Tillamook Creamery. Therefore, the plan was to do a shorter recovery ride. The weather was sunny, with not a cloud in the sky. The temperature in the afternoon was so erratic, though. The high was 21℃, but with wind chill, it felt like 10℃ — and that cool wind came and went, with no apparent correlation with geography or vegetation. My performance, then, was just as erratic. Sometimes I made decent progress. At other times, I soft-pedaled and stopped every few minutes to chug electrolytes. I'm glad that the plan for the day didn't involve covering a huge distance. Camp for tonight is at Devil's Lake State Recreation Area, at a hiker/biker site just next to town. Erecting the tent was a challenge: it kept getting blown around until I fully staked everything down. If I had taken a video, it would have been rather comical.
