Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Today's weather was great. In the low 60's, winds from the north west. I wore the standard kit + arms, 1 base layer. As I was making my way up WTR, I noticed my chain was squeaking. I forgot to oil the chain before the ride. I was already a couple minutes into the ride, so I decided to just ride it out. I pulled over a couple times to squirt water onto it, hoping it would minimize the squeaking. It worked for a minute and then came back. The ride... I felt good. My knees have since healed. I was able to put more power into the pedals than the previous ride. The return trip felt good. I was doing moderate to good tempo. I push over the Loop Monument and the summit. Otherwise, a steady pace and controlled breathing. Concentration was spot on. Few lapses. Gear is working well, I need to oil the chain. Balance felt real good. Other notes, no other cyclists.
