They predicted rain for today, so I was thinking that I wasn't going to be able to squeek a ride in. As it turns out, the late morning was partly cloudy and perfectly ridable. I got out and did the Keene n Back ride as I planned. The air temperature was perfect. I wore arms all the way to Keene. Took them off for the return trip. I had pretty good legs today, but I didn't want to push it to the max. After cruising the downhill, I started a modest tempo on the way back. I did a good dig on the Loop monument. The rest was moderate to good tempo. I didn't have any ailments that lingered. I could feel a little soreness in my right calf, but that subsided quickly. My back has been sore for the last 3 to 4 days. I'm not sure why. Fortunately, it didn't act up. I felt very little soreness on the ride. My right thumb is feeling better, as is my right shoulder. My concentration was real good. Doing good time, listening to my walkman. Balance was right on. I tired my new shorts after washing them. After doing that, they felt a little more grippy on the saddle. Enough for me to decide to keep them. I ended up returning the old ones, as the Performance Bike Agent said that I could get a refund. All gear is working well, no problems there. Bike is working great. I'm going to receive the new GPS (advanced replacement) in the next day or two. They said I have to re-synch my Nav mini-sd card to the new one. I'll probably have to contact their tech support to see how that works.
