I set out what I had planned. The weather is in the 70's. Winds from the North West. Ideal for going to the Alpine Forest. The legs were average to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. The Banducci Wall had minimal traffic mitigation, so I was able to concentrate a bit easier. The Alpine Forest climb went as I anticipated. A bit heavy in the legs. I was going into a modest headwind, so that exaggerated the effort. I felt better after reaching the speed bumps. I think I was around 150-ish BPM over the top. I made my way around the backside. I reached 40+ MPH on the big dip. From there, it was to the summit of Banducci. I took a few moments rest. I fed 2/3rds of a Clif Bar. I wanted till the traffic went by. I forgot to restart the camera at this point. The descent off Banducci had minimal traffic mitigation, so I was able to relax and let the wheels roll. From there, I headed to the summit of Highline and did a Buffalo Run. The legs felt better here than the Alpine Forest. I got back on Highline and then to OTR. I finished off the left over Clif Bar. The descent off OTR was mostly fun and games and recovery. I pushed over Mariposa and shut it down after reaching the top of Weston. Concentration was mostly good. The morale felt ok. A bit impatient and discouraged from the so so legs. Ailments were minimal. Some hand numbness, but minimal. Gear worked flawless. The disc brakes were rubbing after using them on the descent off Banducci. It subsided as the ride progressed from there. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I fed a Clif Bar and it went down ok. I drank about half my water, but no Gatorade (as far as I can remember). Other notes, I saw three cyclists today.
