wow! Today was a great day to ride! The weather was just perfect. The winds from the north, and in the 70's. Just the way I like it! I had good legs on the entire ride today. It was one of those days where it feels like someone shoved a super charger into my body. I was doing good time on the way out, so I decided to just lay the hammer down on the last half of the ride. The tailwind was just fantastic. Like riding in a pack of 100 riders. The only thing that slowed me down was a bit of numbness in the right hand and slight cramping in my right calf. The cramping wasn't pronounced, but, had I lifted the pace, it would have become a problem. As soon as I felt it coming on, I reduced the pace just a bit, so that my leg could recover. I was constantly stretching. While streching, I noticed that my lower back was still a little sore. But, it was never sore while in and out of the saddle, even in the digs. The digs were on the Banducci wall and top, the top of SS, top of Cummings Valley Rd climb, and the last kicker on on Weston. My concentration was right on today, very few lapses. Balance is good as it will get. Bike is working flawless, and all gear. I'm really liking the new shorts, they are more comfortable than the previous. The chamois is less thick, but enough cushion on the right places. I didn't hear any noticable creaking from the wheels. I reset the skewers on both wheels. I think that did the trick. Other notes, the Bright Lake mini farm had about 4 chickens, about 5 to 7 goats, and I think a sheep. There were also a bunch of sheep on the entrance to SS. Lots of baby sheep there. There was one sheep that made it out of the fence. No clue how that happened, it seemed like it was trying to get back to the other side. No clue if he made it. I pointed i out to the driver behind me, kind of worrying that it might dart out into the middle of the street. I wanted to hit 40mph today on one of the descents but, I just missed it by about 1 tenth :(. But the average speed more than made up for the little disappointment!
