I got up earlier today. A good day for a Keene ride. The legs felt pretty good to start. Weather is in the low 70's, mild turbulent winds. I made it to the summit of the descent in good time. I cruised the downhill, with a bit of impatience in the mind, but I held it together. I didn't bother checking the time at the base. Likely in the 28-ish minutes realm. I headed back, no stopping. The legs were a bit heavy to start, but got better as the ride progressed. This climb is all about patience, no doubt. I get a certain sense of urgency that I need to put into the bucket. Nonetheless, progress was being made. I counted off the landmarks and tried to keep my mind occupied with things I want to get done today. I reached the summit in about 1:09-ish hours. Plus or minus. I took a few moments rest and headed down to OTR. OTR went reasonably quick. I just had to remind myself that when I reach the summit, I'll have a nice downhill with minimal efforts to get back home. The descent was fun and games. Mostly relaxing. I pushed over Mariposa with a mild tailwind. I shut it down after reaching the top of Weston. Concentration was good, but impatient to start. Minimal gremlins and lapses. Balance and form was good. I made a few adjustments here and there. Gear worked flawless. Ailments were minimal. Some hand numbness while out of the saddle. Nutrition was good. I had about half my water and some Gatorade. Other notes, I saw one cyclist as I was ascending Keene.
