Fantastic day! Weather is near the sweet spot. I got out a bit earlier than usual. The wind was mild, from the South East. It's been like that for a while now. Hopefully turns the other way when I go to SS over the weekend, otherwise I'll have to devise a plan B. The legs felt good to start. The air is a bit cool, so there was more O2 to breath in. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation, but not so bad. I felt good going up the Alpine Forest. I had stuff to think about and it made time go by a bit smoother. I let the difficulty come to me as I was ascending, notably over the speed bumps. I was near max over the top. Although I didn't check my time over the top. I made my way around the backside, reaching 41+MPH on one big dip. After making it to the summit of Banducci, I pulled over to relax and let traffic by. Shortly after, I headed back down the mountain. Descending off the Banducci Wall was a treat. I had to backoff a bit for oncoming traffic. From there, I headed up the Volcano climb and into the Buffalo Run. I headed back without stopping. After getting back to OTR, it was mostly fun and games till I reached Mariposa where I did the usual grind. I shut it down when I reached the top of Weston. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about, the music helped. Balance and form was good. Gear worked flawless. Ailments were minimal. Some hand numbness while out of the saddle. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I went through about half my water and a bit of energy drink. Other notes, I saw two cyclists descending as I was ascending OTR.
